Born out of a joyful creative chaos, Métal Hurlant emerged through the combined vision of Jean-Pierre Dionnet, Philippe Druillet, and Moebius, who launched an entirely new format of magazine dedicated to science fiction, and soon after founded the legendary publishing house Les Humanoïdes Associés. A heady mix of pop culture, rock energy, visionary sci-fi, and sharp-edged humor, Métal Hurlant left an indelible mark on the history of comics, showcasing some of the greatest talents of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
The exhibition at the Maison Folie Hospice d’Havré in Tourcoing brings this exceptional publishing adventure back to life. Curated by Bruno Girveau, an independent curator and passionate comics enthusiast, and supported by Jean-Pierre Dionnet and Les Humanoïdes Associés, it pays tribute to this one-of-a-kind creative frenzy.
Part of Fiesta, the 7th edition of lille3000 in 2025, the exhibition is accompanied by a vibrant program of concerts, performances, panel discussions, workshops, and artist encounters, all deeply influenced by this artistic effervescence.

Exhibition from April 24 to September 27, 2025
