Until December 31, the Pavillon Vendôme hosts the exhibition “Un Autre Regard” by Mauro Corda, contemporary artist and sculptor, passionate about the themes of the body and identity.
Questioning the question of difference under the prism of dwarfism, the sculptures are articulated here around the counter-representation of the great characters of History (Louis XIV, Julius Caesar, etc.), superheroes and ordinary characters from small sizes. All with one goal: to challenge and invite the public to question their view of people with disabilities.
Whether curious, insistent, judging… the spectator is confronted here with his own perceptions and therefore with the relationship he has with difference, exclusion but also the “norm”.
Workshops, reading sessions, film screenings, plays… Varied actions linked to the exhibition and the theme of difference will be on display throughout the duration of the exhibition.
