\u201cKriki played a fundamental role in the emergence and development of what is now known as Street Art. Immersed in alternative culture, his youthful avant-garde approach immediately placed him among the leading emerging artists to watch, both in galleries and on the art market.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

As early as 1985, Kriki created a character known as the Fuzz<\/strong>, a hybrid figure\u2014part robot, part polymorphous fetish<\/strong>\u2014referencing the Cramps\u2019 album Psychedelic Jungle. A ubiquitous presence throughout his work, the Fuzz became a true \u201csignature mark,\u201d to such an extent that the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris<\/strong> produced an edition of it.<\/p>

Interest in the now-iconic Fuzz was also embraced by Louis Vuitton<\/strong>, whose ongoing patronage made possible the creation of an ambitious Fuzz project, presented at Galerie Kamel Mennour in 2000.<\/p>

Following numerous transformations, the Fuzz and the figures accompanying it continue to appear in the artist\u2019s paintings, taking the form of viruses that contaminate the history of art.<\/p>

As part of the Art for All collection, the Fuzz now returns to Galerie LOFT, the first gallery to exhibit the artist in its space and to present him in a solo show at FIAC<\/strong> in 1987, when he was only 23 years old. The gallery also collaborated on the production of several editions throughout the 1990s.<\/p>
